For my birthday, I decided on an Alice in Wonderland-themed party, and this place was the perfect fit!
The atmosphere is like stepping into a magical world. Everyone on the staff is dressed up, and the decor is filled with incredible details from the movie. It felt like a dream come true as an Alice in Wonderland fan.
The drinks and appetizers were delicious and perfectly aligned with the theme. I was absolutely thrilled, and my friends also had a fantastic time.
However, there was one area that could be improved: customer service.
I live in Georgia, so I called multiple times in the weeks leading up to the event to reserve the Queen of Hearts area and confirm if we could bring a cake. Unfortunately, I didn’t hear back from them. Even after submitting my reservation request with that area noted, I didn’t receive a confirmation email. When I arrived, I was told the Queen of Hearts area was already reserved and I’d be in the Rabbit Hole instead. That was fine, but when my friends arrived and gave my name, they were seated in the Queen of Hearts area (which had my name on the reservation), so there seemed to be a mix-up.
Despite that, everything else was terrific. I hope they can improve communication moving forward.
My friend and I were excited to visit HighT Orlando, intrigued by the concept of a holiday-themed bar blending Christmas with Alice in Wonderland. However, the experience didn’t live up to its potential. The bar is quite small, which made finding a spot a bit of a challenge. Luckily, we managed to snag seats at the bar. Unfortunately, a credit card mix-up soured the start of our visit. While the ambiance was quirky and creative, there wasn’t much else to keep us engaged—no entertainment to elevate the atmosphere beyond its decor. The food and drinks were underwhelming. I tried the deviled eggs, which were okay at best. The cranberry on top didn’t work for me and felt like an odd pairing. As for the drinks, while they were visually stunning, the flavor didn’t match the presentation. I was expecting bold, creative cocktails to match the theme, but they fell flat. After 45 minutes, we decided to leave. The cover charge felt steep for an experience that didn’t deliver on excitement, flavor, or entertainment. HighT Orlando has so much potential, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype.
HighT is a fun place in the old upstairs Mulvaneys location on Church. The drinks and food were delicious. We chose to sit at the bar and were entertained by our awesome and friendly bartender. The balcony is now accessible and has great views of Church street. The creators of this space worked hard to add so much detail everywhere to make you feel you are somewhere special and a part of the story. Expect to spend at least $100 for 2 if you are eating and having drinks.
