The first of many appointments to come. It is difficult at best having expectations of what you want/need in a corneal specialist who will ultimately perform a transplant surgery. I was very pleased with the staff and the entire lead up of tests. I can only hope that the doctor fully understands what I have learned in the past 7 and 18 years.
Only disappointment was doctor not understanding my poor vision wearing contacts. I presume when he reads the past records a better understanding will come.
A great practice with a super helpful staff which is not all that common these days. Dr. Berger is highly experienced and greatly beloved in the community. He spent a lot of time with my son who has a difficult condition and we have a great deal of confidence in him.
I was very impressed with the courtesy and professional attitude. I have keratoconus and cataracts and Dr Berger and his staff have made me feel important and are very concerned about me being able to see well again. I haven’t gotten that kind of treatment anywhere before. And I’ve been wearing contact lenses since 1975. So I’m very impressed
The employees and doctor are great. However they constantly overbook their appointments. Not occasionally. All the time. I had an early morning appointment (9:30) thinking they can’t get very far behind that early. Wrong! I was not called in until 10:10. The whole front lobby was complaining about waiting despite having appointments. This happens every time I have an appointment. They obviously schedule this way purposely. I am seriously thinking of changing offices.
I highly recommend BayArea Eye Institute. The staff is kind and attentive. It’s not easy having to deal with eye issues but I am very thankful to Dr. Berger for his knowledge and expertise. Do plan ahead because he’s VERY thorough. You will not be rushed through your appointment but it means there can be a bit of a wait. Totally worth it for peace of mind!
