Conditions, phenomenal. Amenities, first class. Layout, super fun. Course, challenging.
Oh to be able to play here regularly… Can’t recommend it more highly. Well worth the price of admission.
Last bring more balls than you think. Water is involved in many holes, but honestly it’s the long grass that eats them up. So be extra wary.
It’s also very long. I usually pay blues and that is almost 6800 yards on International. That’s the back tees for some courses I play!
So embrace the challenge, being a few extra balls, and soak it in.
Met an LPGA player on this course! I really enjoyed playing here. Course was fun and the clubhouse was phenomenal. The only downside to my experience was that some random guy (non golfer) was walking on the fairway and picking up people’s golf balls. He literally picked up my ball after I hit one off the tee box. (see pics). Other than that I had a great time here. The staff were very nice and I really enjoyed the practice facilities
ChampionsGate Golf Club delivers an exceptional golfing experience that stands out among Florida’s many courses. From the moment you arrive, you’re met with impeccable service and a welcoming atmosphere, setting the tone for an unforgettable day on the greens.
The course itself is a masterpiece. Designed by the legendary Greg Norman, it offers two distinct 18-hole courses: the National and the International. The National course features a classic layout with lush fairways and a parkland-style design that meanders through scenic wetlands and towering pines. In contrast, the International course offers a links-style challenge, reminiscent of the iconic courses in the British Isles, with rolling fairways, strategic bunkering, and large, undulating greens.
The greens are absolutely pristine — vibrant, smooth, and immaculately maintained. They are a true testament to the dedication of the grounds crew. Whether you’re reading a tricky putt or appreciating the natural beauty around you, the greens make every moment on the course special.
ChampionsGate doesn’t just cater to experienced golfers. Its state-of-the-art practice facilities, including a driving range and putting greens, are perfect for players of all skill levels. The clubhouse is elegant and welcoming, offering a fantastic restaurant with views overlooking the course and a pro shop stocked with top-tier gear.
What truly elevates ChampionsGate is the serene environment. Nestled amidst Central Florida’s stunning landscape, it feels like a tranquil retreat, yet it’s conveniently located just minutes from Orlando’s attractions.
In summary, ChampionsGate Golf Club offers everything you could want in a golf experience: challenging yet fair layouts, breathtaking scenery, and top-notch amenities. Whether you’re a local or visiting the area, this is a must-play destination that leaves you counting down the days until your next visit.
One of the most beautiful well maintained courses I have ever visited!!!cheap affordable price as well, and unlimited free range balls and ice cold water to get visitors through the day! The staff was super friendly and very welcoming just about everyone from restaurant, pro shop to starter and golf cart cadre! Will def return. Not sure how the service is perfect but chick fil an isn’t even on their level!
We played the International course. I wanted to give this course 5 stars as it was a beautiful course and started off really fun!
It had some wonderful views overall but at the turn we got stuck behind a foursome that the starter told to skip two holes instead of one to keep the pace of play and they only skipped one putting them in front of us. They took way too long messing around throwing clubs and laying down on the fairway that it caused a horrible backup. People were stacked up on the tee boxes because of them and we were about an hour behind pace of play. It didn’t help how overheated we were from being out there and a storm coming in that made us feel like we needed to finish faster. That storm also caused some pretty crazy wind that made the course just that much more difficult. It was already a pretty hard course. I wish someone would’ve come out and pushed them along as everyone including our group was really getting frustrated. People also started hitting up on us, I just wish I could’ve enjoyed the experience more.
