It was with great sadness that I lost Dr. Vincent as my vocal chord professional. He was never anything less than kind. So professional and so knowledgeable. He changed the way I thought about myself in treating my vocal chords. I was no longer hesitant to speak in social situations. USF has been pretty good. And very kind. But do not having the same expertise as Dr. Vincent. They are still learning. But I am encouraged by their efforts.

Dr. Vincent I’m not the same since you left you were the best doctor I’ve ever had, I cry all the time feeling depressed because I’m still dealing with supplies for my trach. I think I if you were still practicing I believe I would be much better and probably not have this. I would just like to talk to you.

I went to Dr. Daniel Vincent for a second opinion. I was in a hit and run motorcycle wreck. After a year straight in the hospital, a month in a coma and over 35 surgeries. I ended up with a paralyzed left leg, limited movement in my right arm, removed my left butt muscle, severe nerve damage, paralyzed vocal chords (which gave me a tracheostomy that was supposed to be for life), and many other things that Left me permanently disabled for the rest of my life. (They never found the person who ran my wife and I over). After being told I was going to have to live with the tracheostomy for the rest of my life, I went through several bouts of depression. Getting sick often, my wife suctioning my throat hole every 10-25 minutes and the absolute uncomfortableness of it. I needed to look for someone who specialized in the throat area. And I couldn’t have been luckier to find Dr. Vincent. When my previous “specialist” found out I went to a different ENT and planned to have my trach removed, she said ” well you’re going to die then”. I had complete faith in Dr. Vincent and I’m so glad I found him. After several surgeries on my vocal chords and Dr.Vincent monitoring me closely during the 6-12 month process. Dr
Vincent had my trach removed and had my throat as good as humanly possible fixed. I now am able to live my life so much better than would have been possible before. Words haven’t been invented yet to describe how grateful my wife and I are to have found Dr. Vincent. He is an absolute professional and miracle worker. He listens to you thoughtfully and takes time to thoroughly figure out and diagnose your situation. His staff is also awesome. I highly recommend Dr. Vincent for any and all of your ENT needs..
    Thank you Dr. Vincent!!!!!!!

It’s regrettable that I can only assign a rating of 2 out of 5 stars, not because of Dr. Vincent’s care, which deserves a full 5 stars, but due to the subpar experience at his South Tampa office. Despite coping with a chronic illness and undergoing 80 surgeries, I’ve never encountered such prolonged wait times at any other medical facility. Each appointment involves a minimum 40-minute wait in the waiting room, followed by an additional 20 minutes or more in the exam room. If a throat scope is necessary, the wait extends to another 20 minutes or beyond, totaling over an hour of waiting time.

Moreover, when Dr. Vincent recommended a medication, I sought clarification regarding its similarity to one I had previously taken, which caused serious side effects. Despite reaching out through the patient portal and later via phone, I received no response. The medical assistant I spoke to seemed reluctant to relay my concerns to the doctor, instead suggesting I consult a pharmacist. Even after explaining the previous medication’s adverse effects on my bone density during childhood, the assistant insisted the new medication should be safe.

Adding to the frustration, Dr. Vincent is no longer seeing patients at this office. Despite assurances of being contacted by USF for transition to their care, I received no call for nearly 3 months. Upon contacting USF, they had no record of my case and could only offer an appointment 4 months later. Attempts to address these issues with the office manager, Martina, have gone unanswered for nearly 3 days.

After finally connecting with Nakia, the front desk/medical assistant, my experience took a positive turn. Not only did Nakia empathize with my frustrations, but she also promptly addressed my concerns and took immediate action to facilitate my transition to becoming a patient at USF. Her understanding demeanor and swift assistance were truly commendable. If the rest of the office staff mirrored Nakia’s professionalism and empathy, I would unquestionably rate them 5 stars.

It’s disheartening that individuals dealing with medical issues often encounter obstacles just to communicate with their own doctor and endure excessive wait times for appointments. Nakia’s exceptional service highlights the importance of compassionate and efficient healthcare administration, which can significantly impact patients’ overall experience.
