Broken nose, referred from a business partner of his who couldn’t perform the necessary procedures. Initially, I was very hopeful based on the level of knowledge and care his referring partner had shown. Unfortunately, not only did Dr. Castellano focus almost entirely on my husband from the start of our interaction, he also contradicted/disregarded the expert opinions of the 4 previous surgeons I’d seen (including his referring partner) in the span of 45 seconds without doing any research of his own or even reviewing the scans and assessments I’d brought with me from his colleagues and a radiology clinic and the ER. I left immediately to seek a surgeon that cares enough to do their homework before making assumptions. He had an air of “how dare you” when I told him it wasn’t a good fit. He kept looking to my husband as if to keep me in check. I hope this was a misunderstanding and not a pattern of behavior. I am personally unable to trust him at this point. I encourage everyone to make their own decisions based on their own experiences. My breathing capacity and the facial structure I was born with are important to me, as is being respected as a patient in my own right (without a husband), but none of that seemed important to him.

The low-effort, automated response from him to this feedback only reinforces my assessment of his low-effort methods in patient care. That’s a very scary quality in a facial surgeon.

I have had to use a vasoconstricting nasal spray for over 20 years in order to sleep at night. When I would lay down at night, I would have zero air movement through my nasal passages. Dr Casellano performed surgery approximately 3 weeks ago and I have not needed the spray since. I easily get a full night of sleep without tossing and turning due to the inability to breath. He did an amazing job and I wish I would have gotten the procedure 20 years ago. I can move more air through my nasal passages than ever before.

Easy scheduling, I completed my paperwork online, waiting time was minimal and Dr. Castellno is very knowledgeable. I would give 5 stars, but I was told my insurance wouldn’t cover collapsed valves, deviated septum and dorsal, which causes me sleep apnea.

I was referred to his private practice since I also wanted some cosmetic work on the tip and they gave me a quote of $16,750! I sent two messages in the patient portal with no reply, and couldn’t get an answer when I called several times. I really just want to breathe better and not wake up tired. My insurance told me they cover functional nasal surgery.
