To say I owe my life to this man is an understatement. Dr. Grant started treating me when I was 16 years old. I’m 45 now. In 2006 after I had my first child I got extremely ill. Dr. Grant researched tirelessly to figure out what was wrong. He figured it out and he and his staff fought my insurance to get me the treatment I needed to make sure I would have the best possible outcome. We have since moved out of the area. Dr. Grant made sure that I continued to receive the care I needed in my new location.
Dr. Grant has been an incredible blessing and help to my father and me. His expertise, the careful way he listens, his availability, his genuine care, kindness and willingness to ensure my dad has what his changing needs require (TBIs and now Alzheimer’s) have been a huge encouragement to me these past four years. His staff is kind and helpful. They always return calls promptly with real answers. I don’t understand the negative reviews as I have had nothing but positive experiences with Dr. Grant and his entire team. My dad has seen many neurologists since 2013 (from the initial TBI and multiple hospital stays over the years in two different states) and Dr. Grant is among the finest medical professionals we have encountered.
My daughter was just seen by this doctor. If I could give him less than one star I would. To say that she came home literally sobbing is an understatement. As other reviewers have stated, he was rude, arrogant, condescending and absolutely no empathy or bedside manners! My daughter has been through a series of medical testing and seeing one doctor after another to determine what auto immune condition she has. Unfortunately these are very difficult to diagnose and they have to rule out a lot before a proper diagnosis can be made. Unfortunately Dr. Grant was running late and was very short with my daughter. He cut her off during the course of the visit and made assumptions without hearing her out. Again no empathy and did not seem to care about everything she had been through the last few years which is getting progressively worse. Bottom line he attributed her symptoms to be “in her head” and are due to “depression”. So for years now having numbness in hands, chronic pain in her body, inflammation and stiffness, dizziness, losing balance, liver markers elevated and a bunch of other symptoms are all in her head and caused by depression. I don’t understand how a Dr. with this many negative reviews can continue to practice for such a big organization with no consequences. Patients should feel good about seeing a Dr. that can potentially give them answers and make them feel better instead of making them feel like crap or that they are crazy. Even one negative review is one too many when you are a Dr. who took a oath to help Patients with their ailments. My daughter will not be going back for a follow-up visit to say the least but I thought it necessary to give feedback on her very poor experience.
Dr. Grant is very thorough! He deserves 5 stars. The only thing is that I can’t get an appointment when I need to see him. As of right now I can’t see him until July! 6 months.
Dr. Grant is the old-fashioned type of doctor who is kind, humble, funny, thorough, highly skilled and most of all CARING. While waiting for my first appointment in the lobby, all the other waiting patients were singing his praises. He did a very thorough exam, and was very respectful of everything I had to say. If every doctor could be like this man, our health care system would be perfect. Thank you to his staff as well, including Cynthia, Stefanie and I’m sorry I can’t remember all the other names. They were wonderful too. I am so grateful.
