As soon as your under the canopy of the massive trees these relaxing vibes wash over you. Like a different world. Magical. Had a super cool convo with Mary at the visitor center, she is very knowledgeable, friendly and very interesting. A big thanks to her and the others who volunteer to keep habitats safe for us, the wildlife & our ecosystem. Also, for making it possible for us to have access to these spectacular sights & living creatures as they are in their natural habitat!!!
Broadwalk was damaged by hurricane, but a good portion is repaired and operational now. Plenty of birds and turtles can be seen on the walk. Decent chance of seeing gators as well, I saw a few. It’s relatively small but still a great place for hiking and family outings with kids.
Took my granddaughter there and we had such a wonderful time. I think this might be one of my favorite parks cause there is so much nature. Love it
Nice little park. Lots of interesting plants and animals. Information center is definitely worth checking out. Picnic tables and grills available on site (bring your own charcoal!). Playgrounds and outdoor gym type equipment. Very helpful staff and clean restrooms. Walkways appear wheel chair accessible and an easy quick stroll. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area!
A $2 entrance fee, I guess it was not even enough to pay the guard wages. A beautiful park with a boardwalk and an observation tower, saw a small and a large alligator, some birds. The park was tranquil and peaceful.
