Our kids and I LOVE IT here. I must say that this is our favorite soul food restaurant in Tampa. Kiddos are pickie eaters but here we have tried jerk chicken, chicken wings, honey chicken, catfish nuggets, swai fish and a lot more and we enjoyed it all.
If you’re in need of some good flavorful, and well seasoned soul food, search no more, bk mama’s got ya!!!! Trust me. I was like ehhh but I stuck to my guns and so glad I did.
I went to get a to go order of ribs only to be told they only have on certain days, not mentioned on their website. I ordered smothered turkey wings, which were good.
My sides were Mac n cheese and greens. Horrible. I asked if the banana pudding was homemade over the stove, old school style and was told yes. Upon trying it once hm, I determined that was a lie. It was so bad I called to complain only to be told that ppl love their food and come from Orlando. No apologies, no offer to make it right. Never again. Not recommended. You will be disappointed. It’s definitely not your grandma’s yummy soul food.
