This group should really be ashamed. This is definitely a profit based company NOT patient supported. I came in with a fracture to my knee. I was told by Dr. Sexton very dry and unconcerned that it “didn’t look that bad”, and I needed cortisone shots.
Listening to the doctor I got them. I was rushed to urgent care and was told I should’ve NEVER gotten them because of my knee fracture. I called this morning and was told by Jamie in customer service (who ended up hanging up on me after over talking me the entire time) that no one could help me for 48 hours. Unfortunate. I understand doctor’s offices are busy, but emergencies that were caused by them should be addressed with haste. Here I am in pain, and can’t walk from listening to the doctor.
Strange times for healthcare when not only medical emergencies are created by physicians but also aren’t a priority.
Dr Shields was awesome!! Very informative, helpful and treated me very well!! The office staff from the check in staff to the nurses and PA were excellent and extremely helpful. I would very much recommend Orthopedic Medical Group of Tampa Bay. I feel I have the best of care and doctors to help with my health needs!
Dr. Donovan did a great job on my foot surgery. When I came back for follow up, his work was perfect. The staff is also really helpful and explained things well.
I found the staff friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I was greeted with smiles and info about my condition. Dr. Shield was the first doctor since my injury to check for clotting due to the swelling in my leg. I’m grateful for his attention to detail. I’m at ease about my options and my path to healing.
