As a veteran I find it difficult to find ways to relieve chronic pain. Dr. Wang is one of the few doctors I can rely on to help reduce the pain. She personally attends to all patients with care to ensure comfort. I am thankful she is part of the community care via the VA.
I was lucky enough to be referred to Dr. Chunyan Wang by the VA for my chronic pain. I will admit that I was a little skeptical about acupuncture before starting, but I now fully believe in its benefits. Dr. Wang is a highly skilled and kind practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine that truly cares about her patients and alleviating their pain. She is very, very thorough; she will not rush through sessions just to get you in and out of the office (some appointments would run as long as two hours). Her facility is extremely clean and I always felt comfortable while I was there. I had severe shoulder, lower back, and knee pain prior to seeing her and could barely get out of bed most days. Now, my pain is down to a much more manageable state and I am looking forward to becoming regularly active again to reduce my weight; something that I have not been able to do consistently for several years. If I could give more than five stars, I would. Dr. Wang is the best!
Dr. Wang is amazing!!! One of the most attentive acupuncture experiences I’ve had. She’s so compassionate, thorough and knowledgeable. I came to her with headaches and neck pain, and she helped me with the pain so much(:
It is helping ease my pain and I am taking less medication due to the treatments from Dr. Chang. She is telling me the treatment for depression is going to help, I have a long to go, but I have faith! I sure appreciate the VA sending me out! I have a lot of issues but staying at home does me no good!
I suffered from chronic lower back pain. After two treaments, I feel incredible. Much better than a massage. I felt immediate relief and the pain hasn’t returned. I plan on sticking with the treatments. Chunyan Wang, AP, DOM, PhD is friendly and explains what shes doing in detail. Always check to make sure I was comfortable.
