I recently visited Pig Floyd’s for the first time, and I’m so glad I discovered this gem! Their pulled pork, paired with their signature BBQ sauce, is absolutely incredible. The unique ambiance adds so much charm to the experience(I loved it)! The rice and beans were outstanding, and the Mexican corn and maduros were just as amazing. I’m thrilled to have found this place and can’t wait to return soon!
First time to Pig Floyd’s after hearing about this restaurant for years. We ordered the Plain Jane Brisket Sandwich ($12.49) with sweet bbq sauce on the side and a side of Mexican Street Corn ($3.99) on the side and a Citrus Salad with chicken ($14.99).
Starting with the positive, the brisket has an excellent smoky flavor and can stand in its own without any sauce. It is also pretty lean which makes it pretty perfect. The bun was tasteless so I left that on the plate. The sauce had an odd taste that I didn’t care for so we left that. We ordered the Mexican Street Corn off of the cob and the corn was nice and firm as it should be. I cannot say that we enjoyed the taste as it was overwhelmed with peppery spice.
The Citrus Salad was huge and could easily be shared. The smoked chicken, noodles, pickled onions and peanuts made it enjoyable but the dressing was overly peppery, so we weren’t able to even eat half.
While we are happy that we came, I feel like they are heavy on the peppery spices. When most of the taste on your mouth is overwhelmed with pepper, it doesn’t motivate me to have a need to return. However, if you are a person who loves high peppery flavor, this is probably a good spot for you.
They have both indoor and covered outdoor seating. It feels clean and inviting and the staff is friendly and nice.
The menu offers a fantastic variety of options, from perfectly tender brisket to fall-off-the-bone ribs, all complemented by a rich, tangy barbecue sauce that’s clearly made in-house. The pulled pork sandwich was a highlight for me—juicy, flavorful, and paired with the most delicious coleslaw.
I recommend the Plain Jane pulled pork sandwich. The sliced beef platter is all good with 2 sides. I’ve been 3 times in 1 month since discovering this restaurant.
