Dr Shepard gave me back my life. He genuinely caring and goes above and beyond. When i found him in April 2024 I was giving up.I had C Difficile actively positive for 18 months. The infection caused Chronic Inflamation and Lymphocytic Colotis along with a host of other things. There is not enough space here to describe all the pain, Vancomyacin and steroid side effects. or the number of specialists who told me my case was complicated. Dr. Shepard was the only Dr we saw who truly understood and is an expert in Fecal Microbial Transpants the best hope for me. The first FMT was able to knock down the infection, the 2nd knocked it out. For the first time in almost two years I tested negative! I can now with Dr. Shepards help focus on recovery. My husband says I have my glow back.
Dr. Shepard is such a rarity in the medical field. He truly cares about his patients.
I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy performed by him last year…which can be a nerve wracking experience. He was so kind, it’s amazing how even a year later I still remember the gentle shoulder squeeze he gave me to help ease my nerves.
I have been to several other gastro doctors over the last several years and have not found another doctor like him.
I highly recommend his experience and expertise.
His office staff is also kind and courteous, which is a nice plus.

The office staff was very friendly & helpful, making it easy to schedule my appointment with Dr. Shepard. Gabby, his nurse, was wonderful, answering all my questions regarding my upcoming FMT. Meeting Dr. Shepard was a pleasure; he explained the procedure & answered any questions or concerns my husband and I had. My appointment for FMT was scheduled for the following week, & I am hoping for an excellent outcome.
I am thrilled with the service and care that I received from Dr. Shepard at Florida Medical Clinic. The 2 office visits (initial and follow-up) were a breeze, and Dr. Shepard was a great listener. After the initial visit I scheduled an endoscopy to be performed a month later in his ASC, and the procedure went very well, and was very professional; it diagnosed the problem, and since then I’ve been feeling so much better. I am very thankful for Dr. Shepard’s care!
Dr. Shepard really takes the time to listen to you. I drive over an hour to see him for over a decade now. He believes in natural remedies and medication. I have never trusted a doctor as much as I have trusted Dr. Shepard. He believes that diet could have a lot to do with your health. Due to diet changes and medication he has helped me with my ulcerative colitis. I highly recommend him, and my only regret will be when he retires.
