From start to finish, everything went far better than we expected.

Tampa Bay Gutters came out to give a free estimate. We had gutters on part of our house already. However, we have some soil erosion issues following a roof replacement.

At our request, TBG gave us an three estimates. One for each of the two problem areas and one for completing gutters around the whole house.

We decided on completing the whole house. TBG price came in a little higher than our second best estimate from Westfall. I am sure Westfall is a fine company, but I felt TBG was more personal and had very positive reviews. I wanted TBG, so I asked they could match their price. It was a small difference, but now-a-days you need to ask and they did match the price. In retrospect, we would have probably still went with TBG if they couldn’t match the price.

Beyond price and reviews, another factor that made us go with TBG was how soon they could start. We were ready to move forward and it was great to hear TBG would be able to deliver in quickly. Other vendors were scheduling a month or more out.

To put things in perspective… We accepted the estimate on a Wednesday and scheduled for 8 days later. A few days before our planned date, we received a call and given the option to move up the install a day earlier. We decided to move things up a day.

We picked the gutter and downspout colors while TBG was here to give an estimate. When TBG called to offer moving up a day, TBG asked to review the colors we picked because they thought the downspout color we picked would not match well. They suggested a slightly different color. We trusted TBG and glad we did because it looks great.

The day of the install, a two man crew arrived promptly at 7:30am. They briefed us on what they were going to do and gave us an idea of how long they would be there. They were there until around 2:30pm. They took a short lunch break and had to wait out some heavy rain for a half hour. Other than that, they were working.

An additional comment about the crew that came out. These guys really seemed to care about customer satisfaction. In the front of our house, we had a small section of old gutters. We had not planed on replacing them. While getting the briefing from the crew, they said they were going to replace a section of old gutters. No, they did not replace all my older gutters around the house. But in the front of our house, to make it all look the same and right they were going to replace. It was a small section, but the idea that they were going to do this blew my mind.

After they were done, we walked around the house and it look at the work. The crew joked about how the torrential downpour gave the gutters a good test. It looks great.

The day after the install, I received the invoice. It was exactly as quoted. It might sound odd, but I have never been so happy to pay an invoice.

Would I hire Tampa Bay Gutters again? Absolutely.

Tampa Bay Gutters did a great job making repairs to our roof facia that was damaged in the hurricanes. They were timely in getting us an estimate and scheduling the repair work. They installed all of our gutters, and replaced facia and soffits about 5 years ago. They stand by their work and are very professional. We would highly recommend Tampa Bay Gutters.
