It’s a very majestic theater built in the 1920’s, and there is not a bad view in the house . One thing to be aware of, and the theater warns you of it on their website, is that legroom is snug and limited, except on the first floor which was recently remodeled. So, if you are a tall person, or if you have a bad knee or leg, you will want to get tickets on the first floor, as elsewhere could be uncomfortable.

This historical gem, one of the top 10 vintage theatres in the US, retains original details and structure with modern upgrades t the 1200 seat venue with mezzanine. For example, the camera is a modern version. All the seats have been redone with attention to comfort while conserving the historical tone. I have enjoyed classic films, indie films, first-run on movies that sometimes go big,
and several special events. Tonight I enjoyed a special reception for Restaino Family Foundation before an open viewing of “It’s A Wonderful Life.”
The Theatre had many pictures on the wall of the original days of the Theatre.
STEPHEN is a wonderful front door face of the theatre with his kind, welcoming manner. Great concession service by Stephen, Kenneth, and Juan and a woman whose name I forgot.
The quaintness of the exquisite decor and design of the theatre also does not include an elevator with access to first floor restrooms, or third level mezzanine.
The restroom on main floor wheel chair accessible with 2-3 grab bars. The restrooms on first and third level are not accessible due to historic design and they have a tiny child’s toilet.
The new John T. Taylor Screening Room with 43 seats offers a separate entrance but attached small theatre.

Great experience. I went the day before Halloween to check out a Vincent Price movie. It was cool seeing a movie released 60 years ago in a 98 year old historic & haunted theatre. I didn’t hear about the theatre being haunted until after I bought my ticket. I would love to go back for a ghost tour. If you’re in town this is a great way to spend a few hours.

I am with love with this theatre!! It is one of the most elaborate theatres I’ve visited, packed with so much antiques and history in such a small space! This gem was built a century ago, and you truly feel like you’re stepping back in time when ypu go inside. We went to see Atsuko Okatsuka, and though we were underwhelmed by the show, on the plus side, we gained a new favorite place to visit over and over again!

What a really nice old theater that was built in 1926. There is not a bad seat in the house and the architecture is beautiful.
